Middle and high school students have access to a free program through the Florida Department of Education called FloridaShines. Within FloridaShines, students can create an account through MyCareerShines which allows them to create a profile to build their resume, check Bright Futures eligibility, review college information and take career inventories.
Middle and high school counselors and Take Stock in Children Mentors have received training to guide students in using FloridaShines. District student mentors will receive training in December. Visit https://www.floridashines.org/ to find out more information.
