Instructional Experience Credit for Initial Employment
New instructional hires can be granted all experience credit for prior documented full-time public school teaching experience up to the maximum level of twenty-three (23) on the salary schedule; this may include up to two years of military experience.
New instructional hires can be granted up to a maximum of fifteen (15) years of experience credit for prior documented full-time accredited private school teaching experience; this may include up to two years of military experience.
For work experience to be awarded, the experience must be verified through letters from previous employers citing term of employment, and position held.
Vocational Instructional Experience Credit
New vocational instructional hires can be granted up to a maximum of 15 (fifteen) years through relative work experience or actual teaching experience.
For work experience to be awarded, the experience must be verified through letters from previous employers citing term of employment, and position held.
Non-Instructional Experience Credit for Initial Employment
New noninstructional hires can be granted up to a maximum of seven (14) years of experience credit for prior documented full-time experience in the United States; this may include up to two years of military experience.
For work experience to be awarded, the experience must be verified through letters from previous employers citing term of employment, and position held.
