In Home Education, the parent becomes the keeper of the child’s educational record. As such, the parent maintains a self-created transcript of course the child has completed each school year and their final grade. The district only keeps a transcript of any cross-enrolled courses taken at the student’s zoned school or St. Johns Virtual courses completed. If a student takes courses through Florida Virtual, they can login and print an unofficial transcript from there. Cumulative folders are also not kept at the district Home Education office. They are housed at the student’s last brick-and-mortar school of attendance. When enrolling a child back in brick-and-mortar school full time, the parent will need to provide a self-created transcript with the courses the student has completed, final grades awarded, and the grade they were promoted to. Please see the templates below for suggestions on possible transcripts that you can provide. You can find other templates on many Home Education websites.
