March 2026

Your Seat. Your School. Your Choice.

The St. Johns County School District is now accepting applications for Controlled Open Enrollment (COE) for the last window of the school year, and we encourage families who may be interested to apply.

This window is open through April 17 and is available to all Florida residents. COE is a statewide school choice option that allows families to apply to schools outside of their district-assigned attendance boundary, based on availability.

This opportunity provides a range of benefits, including:

  • Continued high-quality academic programs supported by strong instructional practices
  • Schools that align with a child’s interests, learning style, or future goals
  • Locations that may be closer to home, work, or childcare

If you know families whose children do not currently attend a St. Johns County school and who may be exploring school options for the upcoming school year, please help us spread the word before April 17.

To see the full list of schools accepting applications, as well as eligibility details, and to apply, please visit our Controlled Open Enrollment web page.

Thank you for being an important part of our school community and for helping us share information that supports families in making informed choices for their children!

This delay may be necessary due to end-of-year testing schedules and the availability of teachers and staff to participate in the reviews. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
