Recruitment / Retention Supplement
For Full and Part-Time Instructional Employees
Starting in the 2025-2026 School Year!
Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, regular full time and part time instructional employees will receive an annual salary supplement of no less than $4,500.00, in accordance with conditions set forth in the SJEA Memorandum of Understanding.
The funds reserved for the instructional unit shall be paid to employees within the instructional bargaining unit in referendum supplements as follows:
- Years 0-5: $4,500 (Flat Rate)
- Years 6-10: $5,172.00
- Years 11-15: $6,206.00
- Years: 16-20: $7,241.00
- Years 21+: $8,275.00
- Regular full-time employees as defined by Article 1 (E) shall receive the full negotiated amount.
- Regular part-time employees shall receive half of the full-time employee amount.
- Employees holding “Part Time As Needed” positions are not eligible for this supplement.
- The salary supplement will be paid in installments within the employee’s regularly scheduled paycheck during the following school years: 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028, 2028-2029.

Starting in the 2025-2026 School Year!
Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, educational support (non-instructional) employees will receive an annual salary supplement of no less than $6,110.00 for regular full-time employees as defined by Article VI (C) and no less than $3,055.00 for regular part-time employees.
The salary supplement will be paid in installments within the employee’s regularly scheduled paycheck during the following school years:
2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028, 2028-2029.

Our Hiring Process
Ready to Begin
Applying online is the best and most efficient way to begin the hiring process. Before you begin, gather your documents this may include (i.e., resume, high school diploma or high school transcripts, college diploma or college transcripts, certifications, etc.) Be sure to monitor the website and your daily notification email for updates on job vacancies.
Apply Online
- Create an online application or login to existing.
- External (Non-employee) Users click on “Start an application for employment”.
- Internal (current employee) Users – login to your existing application.
- You must submit your online application and apply for any job vacancy (vacancy desired) on or before the closing date.
- Documents may require uploading (i.e., resume, high school diploma or high school transcripts, college diploma or college transcripts, certifications, etc).
- A minimum of two references are required. Note: Johns County School District automatically sends a confidential online survey to all references. An email address is required for each reference listed.
Interview Process
- Once a vacancy has closed, the hiring manager will receive a list of qualified applicants.
- Review your vacancy status on the Home Page of the application.
- Applications are reviewed by the school/department hiring manager. If selected for an interview the hiring manager will contact you directly by phone or email.
- Pre-Employment (onboarding) may vary depending on the position for which you have been hired.
- The school/department hiring manger will provide you with a start date.
Pre-Employment
- The pre-employment process begins with the hiring manager submitting a recommendation for hire request to Human Resources.
- Recommended hires will receive several emails throughout the pre-employment process. Some require actions to be completed to include:
- Level II background screening through the Clearinghouse (fingerprints).
- Review and acknowledge online presentations.
- Print and complete all online general and/or benefits forms.
- Attend an in-person pre-employment briefing.
- Attend a drug screening at a district wellness center at no cost to you.
- An invitation email will be sent to schedule a pre-employment briefing.
- Once all pre-employment contingences are met. Human Resources will approve the recommendation for hire request.
- The hiring manager will reach out to establish a start date!
