McKinney-Vento is a federal law that protects the educational rights of children and youth who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.

ASSIST is St. Johns County School District’s program that supports eligible students under McKinney-Vento. Through ASSIST, students and families may receive help with school enrollment, school stability, transportation, school supplies, referrals, and other educational supports.

Our goal is to help eligible students stay connected to school and receive the support they need to be successful.
