The Board of Directors of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce last week voted to support school board proposals that will continue the half-cent sales tax for 10 years and add a 1-mill increase to property taxes in the county for four years.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Two referendums are on the ballot to support St. Johns County schools as the area continues to see rapid growth. If approved, the county would renew a half-cent sales tax that was first approved by voters in 2015 and increase property taxes to help pay teachers’ salaries.
