Elizabeth “Betsy” Wierda serves as an energetic coach and consultant for the Franklin Covey organization. She is a former Elementary School Principal and Learning Leader, Standards Coach, Adjunct Professor at the University of North Florida (UNF) and the former Director of Professional Development in St. Johns County.

Mrs. Wierda holds an undergraduate degree in Specific Learning Disabilities and Music Education from Hope College in Holland, Michigan; a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the UNF, and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at UNF.
In her spare time, Betsy jogs, reads, sings, rides her mountain bike with her husband and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Wierda continues to strive to grow as a learning leader, to find and refine her own voice, and to courageously encourage all of those around her to do the same.
