Why study world languages?
\n<\/strong>In today\u2019s interconnected world, knowing more than one language is a powerful skill. Studying world languages enhances communication, deepens cultural understanding, and prepares students to succeed in a global society.<\/p>\n

What does St. Johns County offer?
\n<\/strong>The St. Johns County School District offers Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) courses at the high school level and Spanish in middle school.<\/p>\n

What does the state of Florida require for world languages for college and university entrance?
\n<\/strong>Although world language is not a graduation requirement, Section 1007.261(1)(a), Florida Statutes, requires two credits of sequential foreign language instruction at the secondary level as a prerequisite for admission to all Florida state colleges and universities.<\/p>\n
