The public school must then investigate the incident and upon conclusion of the incident or within 15 days after the incident was reported, whichever occurs first, shall notify the parent of the Hope Scholarship Program and the available educational options.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>*<a href=\"https:\/\/go.stepupforstudents.org\/hubfs\/HANDBOOKS\/Parent%20Handbooks\/Hope-Parent-Handbook.pdf\">Hope Scholarship Parent Handbook-How to Apply for the Scholarship and Scholarship Rules*<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Educational Options under the Hope Scholarship Program<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Transfer to another public school \u2013 The parent has the option of enrolling his or her student in another public school <strong>that has capacity<\/strong>. <strong>To see which in-district schools have seats available, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/coe\/\">click here<\/a><\/strong>. If a parent chooses to enroll his or her student in a public school located outside the district in which the student resides, the parent can apply for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepupforstudents.org\/scholarships\/private-and-transportation\/\">scholarship to transport the student<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li><li>Transfer to an approved private school \u2013 A parent may choose to enroll his or her student in an approved private school. The parent must notify their student&#8217;s current school of their intent to withdraw the student from public school and place the student in private school.
