The bill created the Personalized Education Program (PEP) as an option under the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship. The Personalized Education program\u00a0<i data-ogsc=\"\">is<\/i>\u00a0home schooling, but registration is done through the Scholarship Funding Organization (SFO) for funding purposes. A parent\/legal guardian receives access to educational funds which are placed into an Educational Savings Account (ESA). Administered through approved Scholarship Funding Organizations such as Step Up For Students\u00a0and AAA Scholarship Foundation, the program deposits funds into an Education Savings Account (ESA)\u00a0that parents can use for a wide range of approved educational expenses. These may include private school tuition, tutoring services, curriculum and instructional materials, therapies, specialized learning services, technology, and part-time courses offered by public schools.
