The Gifted Parent Advisory Council (GPAC) meets four times per year to inform the school district about ways in which the district can improve its efforts in serving gifted students. Information about giftedness and ways to help gifted students are presented at these meeting. Parents of K-12 gifted students from throughout the district are encouraged to attend.
As a result of days lost due to Hurricane Irma the SJCSD will make up two school days on Monday, October 16 and Friday, November 10.
The final town hall meeting to discuss Attendance Zoning changes for the two new K-8 schools will be held Monday, September 25 at 6 p.m. at First Coast Technical College, Character Counts Conference Center/Building C, at 2890 Collins Ave., St. Augustine, FL.

All students in St. Johns County can receive free school meals (breakfast and lunch) from September 18 through October 20, 2017. A la carte menu items will still be available for purchase. College and Career Night will be held on Wednesday, September 6 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at St. Augustine High School located at 3205 Varella Avenue, St. Augustine. College and Career Night provides an excellent opportunity for high school students from both public and private schools to receive firsthand information on post-secondary educational opportunities.
