Substitute Teaching  SmartFindExpress is a website used to manage employee absences and to coordinate the assignment of substitute teachers for instructional personnel.  For users that prefer to use the automated phone system, the number is (904) 823-0090. ***St. Johns County School District requires that each substitute teacher work a minimum of 10 days (2 in 1st semester and 8 in the 2nd semester) per school year in order to remain active. The SmartFindExpress phone line upgrade has been completed.
