Welcome, Vendors, to this year's FAMIS Summer 2010 Conference

Last year we elected to conduct a virtual conference due to shrinking budgets and the lack of travel funding. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly in favor of the traditional face-to-face conference.

We are excited to hold our conference in Tallahassee from 7-9 June 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel. This year we are sponsoring Florida DOE to cover Legislative changes and other District topics that can benefit all districts and consortiums. In addition, Gold and Silver Sponsors will have the opportunity to present their products and services that are relevant to K-12. Vendor participation is limited!

The Vendor registration form will walk interested parties through the process of registering with FAMIS, booking hotel rooms, selecting a sponsor level, adding more people if needed, selecting your table location preference (for Gold/Silver), uploading your digital company logo (for Gold/Silver) and making an online payment. Below is a diagram showing the planned vendor table locations.

VENDOR TABLE LOCATIONS IN FLORIDA ROOMS
Table Layout in Florida Room
This diagram is an approximation of vendor table locations and may be subject to change. Bronze tables to be assigned after all gold and silver sponsor tables have been selected.

The current bronze sponsors are listed below:
  •  Skyward Inc.
  •  Logista
  •  Epson America, Inc.
  •  Certica Solutions
  •  School Check IN

The vendor sponsor levels below offer a range of options to choose from. There are only 14 vendor slots available for this conference. As of May 17, 2010, all vendor slots have been filled, and registration is now closed to vendors.

Vendor tables will be offered (18" x 6'). All Vendors will occupy the Florida rooms on the second floor. The Leon room across the hall will be used for conference presentations. Some of the tables will be close to power and others may not. The tables will be located approximately 3-4 feet from the wall around the perimeter of the room, so that vendors can display banners or screens to advertise and identify their company name. Vendors should bring their own extension cord and any booth items they wish to have or display. The bulk of the presentations will be conducted on the first floor. We hope to add snacks and/or sodas in the vendor room to encourage conference attendees to stop by and visit you. You can also draw traffic by distributing inexpensive company items like: T-shirts, pens, hats, writing tablets, flash drives, etc.

Checks from vendors must be received within 10 business days of their registration and no later than May 14, 2010 (the deadline for all registrations). Online payments must be received within 5 business days of registration and no later than May 14, 2010. Vendors who cannot adhere to this payment timeline must contact webmaster@stjohns.k12.fl.us at least two business days prior to the deadline to avoid losing their registration slot. If for any reason you cannot submit your payment at the time of registration, you may also send your payment to registration@famisonline.org using PayPal's Send Money Online form. We plan to use a "first come, first serve" basis when filling these slots.

For any vendors interested, we plan to use any donated items as give-away prizes during the last session. Typical vendor donated items include: printers, cameras, computers, switches, student response sets, interactive boards, projectors, document cameras, and more. During the last session we will announce the vendors who have provided donated items as each is given away. The FAMIS organization may also purchase items to add to the give-away drawing on Wednesday. Please bring any donated items to the conference and turn them into the registration booth when you arrive.

If you have registration or payment problems with our website, please email: webmaster@stjohns.k12.fl.us.
