Stand off roadway while awaiting the bus.

Students must be on time, the bus will not wait for those who are tardy.

Students must board and leave the bus at their regular stop location (unless written permission from the parent or principal has been received by the bus driver).

Walk ten (10) feet in front of the bus. Wait for the driver's signal before crossing the road.
|
5. |
The driver is in full charge of the bus and students. Students must obey the driver.
|
6. |
The driver has the right to assign seats. Students must sit three (3) to a seat from window to aisle.

7. |
Keep your seat at all times when the bus is moving.
|
8. |
Keep arms and heads inside of windows. No object shall be thrown from windows or at bus.

9. |
Unnecessary conversation with the driver is dangerous.
|
10. |
Outside of ordinary conversation, classroom conduct is to be observed.
|
11. |
Students must refrain from fighting, pushing, and tripping while boarding, riding, and leaving a bus.
|
12. |
Students must not use any abusive or profane language to others students or the driver.
|
13. |
Absolute silence is required at all railroad crossings
|
14. |
No eating, drinking, or use of tobacco is allowed on a bus.
|
15. |
No animals (dead or alive), glass or glass containers, sharp objects, ball bats, cutting instruments, baton, and drumsticks will be allowed on the bus without prior permission of the driver.

Large objects, including band instruments which will interfere with seating and safety of others, will not be permitted on the bus.

Consequences for student violating bus rules will be as follows:
1st offense: Principal judgment and parent notification
2nd offense: May suspend 1-2 days from school bus and parent conference with principal/designee and bus driver.
3rd offense: May suspend 2-5 days from school bus.
4th offense: May suspend 5-10 days from the school bus.
5th offense: May result in long term suspension from the bus including withdrawal of bus privileges for a period between 11 days and the balance of the school year upon a recommendation to the School Board. |
