How to Enroll Your Child in School
Registration Requirements for Public School
Age Requirements for Children to Begin School:
Kindergarten: A child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.
First Grade: A child must be 6 years old on or before September 1st and satisfy one of the following:
a) Previous enrollment and attendance in Florida public school.
b) Satisfactory completion of kindergarten requirements in a non-public school; or,
c) Previous attendance in an out-of-state school in which the student was admitted on the basis of age requirements
established by the state of residency.
Records necessary include:
Immunizations
Up to date immunizations recorded on a Florida HRS 680 certificate
Mandatory for Kindergarten enrollment
Students transferring into our school district may be granted thirty (30) days
Proof of Age
Birth Certificate
School Physical Examination
Required for first time enrollment in a Florida school
A health examination within the twelve (12) month period prior to initial entrance
Students previously enrolled in a school may be granted thirty (30) days
Proof of Residence
Social Security Number
Providing this information is optional
Academic Records
Although we will request the records from the previous school placement may be expedited if you have:
Most recent report card
Unofficial transcripts or grades
Most recent test scores are mandatory prior to registration for Honors or Dual Enrollment classes
