Behavioral Specialists

Behavior Specialists are district employees assigned to schools. They are trained in classroom management strategies, individual behavior intervention plans, data collection techniques, and positive behavior supports.  They provide trainings and consult with teachers and student success teams.  They work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and other school personnel to ensure that students with severe behavior difficulties receive effective interventions. To impact student change, such as an increase in achievement, direct observations and measurement of behaviors occur in the classroom and other educational settings.  By looking at data, the Behavior Specialist helps the team design interventions which will likely result in positive student change.
