Recognizing that energy efficiency and conservation while exercising sound financial management is in the best interest of the St. Johns County School District, its personnel and students, as well as the taxpaying public, in September 2008 the Board adopted an Energy Management Program (EMP) to control and optimize the cost and consumption of energy and energy related products. The St. Johns County School District has experienced a cost avoidance of $14,257,856.20 for the period July 2008 - December 2011
