RSVP Sponsored Groups Volunteer opportunities are available in the following RSVP Sponsored Groups. Senior Workers Available Today (SWAT): Teams and individuals provide short-term assistance to nonprofits agencies at the agencies or activity sites. America Reads: A unique school readiness program where volunteers serve as story tellers and read aloud in PreKindergarten, Headstart, and Kindergarten classrooms. I'm OK (Intergenerational Mentors of Kids): RSVP volunteers serve in local schools once a week as one-on-one mentors to our students. Community Service Project Groups (CSPG) and individuals provide indirect services to hospitals, nursing homes, day care centers, and schools. Widow to Widow: An RSVP volunteer serves as peer facilitator of this support group which stresses self-help and peer support. Meetings offer participants an opportunity to share feelings and experiences. RSVP Volunteers are covered with supplemental accident insurance and personal liability insurance while on a volunteer assignment. This insurance is at no cost to the volunteer or station served.
