B6

B6, which stands for “Be All 6 Pillars” is a program designed to implement the Six Pillars of Character into the non-traditional middle school and high school setting. This club is service-based and provides mentorship for younger students while using components of the WEB, Link Crew and CHARACTER COUNTS! initiatives.

B6 was designed to complement the CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative in the St. Johns County School District. The first phase of the CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative is for students to understand the Six Pillars of Character: Fairness, Caring, Citizenship, Respect, Responsibility and Trustworthiness. Once students are able to acknowledge and understand the depth of each pillar, the goal is to begin building their leadership skills to create a culture of good character. By establishing a character culture and infusing leadership skills into students, they will begin to understand that showing good character is not just about them being good, but rather that, character runs much deeper and impacts their words, attitude and actions.

B6 has been implemented in schools throughout St. Johns County including St. Johns Technical High School, Patriot Oaks Academy and Fruit Cove Middle School.
