Instructions to Schools
Dear Participating School Partner:
Thank you for helping to recognize the good character of our community’s young people. All nominees will be evaluated for demonstration of their overall character.
1. Establish a group and/or process to select your winners.
2. Deadline for nominations is: Friday, March 23, 2012
3. Notify winners and ask them to identify a mentor who will be recognized on the night of the banquet.
4. Send in your award winners’ applications to the Office of Community Relations by Monday, April 9, 2012. Please send digital photos of your senior and junior winners via email to cookd@stjohns.k12.fl.us or copy on a CD. Please copy these from the professional photographers pictures of the students, they should be in a .tif or jpeg format . It is also requested that the names (please double check spelling) be included with the photos.
5. Assist in getting student invitations and responses to the banquet. Students are granted three guests - two parents and one mentor. Schools will cover the costs of the student and up to three guests. Families may pay for additional guests if they choose.
6. Date for the AYCA Banquet is Thursday, May 3, 2012 at World Golf Village.
