The CHARACTER COUNTS! Community Recognition Breakfast
October 17, 2006 at First Coast Technical Institute
This breakfast is held to recognize the business partners and sponsors for the American Youth Character Awards. There is a multimedia show during breakfast that has a page for each sponsor's name and photos or logos. It is also a forum to recognize and hear from nine middle school students chosen by their schools (one per school including private schools and the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind) as being persons of good character. The students speak about what the Pillars of Character Counts! mean to them. Each year, one community person is also given an Individual Service Award for dedication to the Character Counts! program in our schools. This year, Helen DiMare was honored.
