Bill Fehling, District 4
Bill Fehling (in his third 4-year term) represents District 4 — Ponte Vedra Beach and Palm Valley area on the St. Johns County School Board. In addition to serving on the board, Bill is also Vice President of Finance for a search consulting firm.
When relocating his family to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1997, Fehling transitioned from an award-winning medical sales career to become an at-home-dad for his daughters with one attending Appalachian State University and the youngest attending Ponte Vedra High School.
Prior to being elected to the School Board, Bill exhibited an unparalleled commitment to our schools, devoting over 900 volunteer hours per year to our schools. He served 2-terms as a PTO President, participated on several School Advisory Councils (SAC) and helped hire two principals, while concurrently guiding students in FCAT preparations, volunteering in the cafeterias, and assisting teachers in their classrooms. Bill led a cooking class for Kindergartners and created a "letter of the week" cookbook that is still used today. During his years as PTO President, he helped raise over $140,000, providing funding for library books, musical instruments, art equipment and supplies, and a new Media Center for PV-PV Elementary School. Bill's involvement in our schools has made an impact on students of every age and his work extends to
virtually all areas within our school system.
As an enthusiastic advocate of reading, Fehling developed a "Frequent Reading Program for Kids", which was published in Family Fun Magazine.
In his spare time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, reading, exercising, and volunteering in our schools. He is very active in his local church and volunteers his time to local non-profit organizations.
