Teachers of the Year
The 2006-2007 Teachers of the Year have been selected from each of the district’s 29 schools. These nominees represent the very best among St. Johns County School District teachers. Their colleagues have selected them for this prestigious honor and they will go on to compete for the countywide title.
All of the school Teachers of the Year will be honored on February 13 during the recognition and awards section of the School Board meeting. The overall winner will be announced at the annual Teacher Celebration Awards Banquet scheduled for March 27 at First Coast Technical Institute. In addition to the Teacher of the Year, awards will be presented to volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to public education.
The awards banquet is sponsored by the St. Johns County Education Foundation in partnership with the St. Augustine Record’s Newspaper In Education Program to recognize excellence in the teaching profession. Proceeds from the banquet will be used to fund teacher mini-grants for creative and innovative classroom projects.
